Whether you’re a safe player or fiery go-getter, fun first date ideas have got a lot of us stumped.
You only get one chance to make a good first impression after all, so here are some date ideas that’ll be sure to get the motor runnin’.
PLAY IT SAFE
Extreme sports on a first date isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But, tea is. Or coffee.
You can’t go wrong with a coffee shop meet-up.
It’s simple, quick and cheap (winning). Leave things open for a second date, or stay and talk as long as you like.
Now we’re talkin’…literally.

PUSH THE BOAT OUT
Don’t actually push the boat out, boating on a first date is a disaster. Trust me.
But if you want to nudge the ‘adventure o-meter’ on a bit, hiking is a good middle-ground. And you can impress your date with top-notch map reading skills.
AKA Google Maps.
There’s less pressure to glad your Sunday best and semi-expensive watch. Anoraks and boots are a look, don it.
Also, scenic views and a pub lunch scream romance with very little additional effort on your part.
HOLD ON TIGHT
Now then thrill-seeking friends, bored of beige dating? It’s time to turn it up a notch.
YOU might be raring to go on a wild jaunt, but your new ‘friend’ might be a bit more mellow.
So, meet in the middle.
Take a day trip to the nearest theme park. You’ll have an awesome day out, and there’s time to chat in the queues and get to know each other.
Make that plenty of time.
Dizzy at heights? Try crazy golf or a comedy show.
Showing off your fun side on a first date will leave a lasting impression on the one you’re trying to impress. And you’ll have a hell of a time.
There you have it, first dates 101. From the safe option to a wild card, choose carefully and that first date won’t be the last.
